The Brittany, also known as the Brittany Spaniel, is a versatile and energetic gundog breed known for its keen hunting abilities, friendly nature, and compact size. Originating from the Brittany region of France, they were bred as bird dogs, primarily used for pointing and retrieving game.

Brittanys have a medium-sized, well-muscled body with a dense, medium-length coat that is typically orange and white, liver and white, or tri-color (white, orange, and liver). They have a distinctive floppy, triangular-shaped ear that adds to their charming appearance. Their tail is usually docked to a medium length.
