Meet The Breeder

RODEO is a responsible breeder of AKC Greater Swiss Mountain Dogs, based in Oakhurst, CA, at the Gateway to Yosemite National Park. Swissy owners since 2001 and breeders since 2003, we produce quality Swissies, with a focus on temperament, health and structural soundness. As Preservation Breeders, we strive to produce dogs that conform to the AKC Breed Standard, with all the clear and recognizable traits of the Greater Swiss Mountain Dog, to include: A striking, tri-colored, large, powerful, confident dog of sturdy appearance. Heavy boned, well muscled, with a dense topcoat and, as a double coated breed, with undercoat always present. A bold, faithful, willing worker. Alert and vigilant. We are a small home-based breeding program with many years of experience with the Greater Swiss Mountain Dog. Today, we participate with our dogs in Conformation dog shows and Fast Cat. We have past experience in rally, formal obedience, drafting, weight pull, herding, therapy dog visits, and backpacking with Swissies.

Pricing Information

The total price listed includes a breeder deposit if applicable. DOGGIT will introduce the puppy buyer and the breeder to get to know each other. Growing a strong bond with a new puppy starts with a close relationship with the chosen breeder! The deposit is collected by the breeder directly once the breeder approves the puppy buyer. This means a puppy or future puppy from the breeder is reserved! Deposits are refundable if the breeder does not have a puppy for the puppy buyer, or has unreserved a puppy. The DOGG!T Matchmaker Service fees are also collected once a puppy is reserved. Matchmaker Service fees are transferable if the puppy buyer decides to go with another breeder. * We are committed to finding a puppy buyer the perfect breeder and puppy match. Once the puppy buyer and breeder confirm 'Gotcha Day' hand off, the remaining balance will be paid to the breeder directly or through DOGG!T payment services.
