Meet The Breeder
Welcome to Lamons (pronounced: "Lay-mens") Labradors! We are a reputable breeder of health tested, AKC registered Labrador Retrievers in Black, Yellow, and Chocolate. As a breeder we strive to breed a Labrador that can not only compete in the show ring, but perform in the field as well while fitting the breed standard. A Lab bred to the standard will be able to effectively perform their job like they were originally intended to do. We participate in conformation, hunting, and dock diving. We breed for that classic Lab temperament and strongly built dog that makes these dogs the ultimate "gentlemen's hunting dog". They are willing to retrieve anything you ask of them, but also more than happy to take up residence on your couch! Our program is centered around producing a functional Labrador Retriever that meets the breed standard as set forth by the Labrador Retriever Club, the true "Gentleman's Hunting Dog". We compete in the AKC conformation ring and are members of the Southwest Missouri Retriever Club. Several of our dogs are pursuing conformation titles along with hunt test titles. Many of our dogs, aside from being fantastic family companions, have gone on to be excellent waterfowl retrievers. We strive to produce conformationally correct dogs with predictable temperaments that have a drive to retrieve, but have an "off switch".
