Welcome to Madhouse Kennels, where we breed quality Belgian Malinois and German Shepherds. We are located in Central Texas, about an hour north of Austin, where we live on a small, 10 acre hobby farm. All of our dogs are AKC registered, and health tested through OFA and embark tested for genetic issues. Our goal is to produce safe, healthy, stable working dogs, who can get the job done while maintaining an off switch to be members of the family. All of our breeding dogs live inside in the home with our family. My puppies go home at 8 weeks old. At 7 weeks old each puppy will be temperament tested using a program known as Volhard system, which will be completed by a stranger to the puppies. This test will help me place each puppy in their appropriate home based on the new owners wants and needs. Upon go home each puppy will have 2 vaccines, been previously dewormed 4 times (pyrantel at 2 & 4 weeks and fenbenzadole at 6 & 8 weeks.) I will have my vet preform a fecal at 8 weeks to verify they are free of intestinal parasites. Each puppy gets a pamphlet with all of this information, as well as records from the veterinarian who provided these services. Each puppy is microchipped with a chip from “Fi Nano” that will come pre registered in your name. This chip has a life time registration, so you will not be required to pay yearly fees on it. Additionally, I prepay for all AKC registration fees, and will be happy to set that up for each puppy once you come up with a name. I can also help you decide on a registration name that goes with your puppy’s name if you need help. Puppies will go home with a small bag of food, a toy, and a blanket that smells like mom/siblings to make the transition period easier. I start potty training at 3 weeks, crate training and traveling process at 5 weeks to help create positive experiences prior to leaving for their new homes. The puppies are raised in home and handled daily. I use a modified puppy culture guidelines, along with ENS (early neurological stimulation) and ESI (early scent introduction). They will be exposed to farm animals, dogs of multiple sizes and cats prior to 8 weeks. They will also be exposed to different kinds of flooring indoor and out, slick surfaces, water, nail trims, hair dryers, loud noises and many more things to benefit them in the long run. I will always support my puppies even after they’ve left, and I’m happy to answer any questions I can for their owners.
