Dr. Julie Oghigian is a veterinarian who has been involved in breeding and competing with her labradors since 2004. Versatility is a breed trait which is near and dear to her heart and she trains for and competes in multiple venues, from the conformation/show ring to hunt tests to obedience/rally. She and her family also hunt with their dogs for both upland game and waterfowl. Because family is tops and time is at a premium, she does not keep more than 3-5 dogs at their Montana home and only breeds up to 1-2 litters/year. Between competitions and hunting season, you will find the Montview Labradors joining the family at parks and restaurants, on hikes and camping trips, and even trick-or-treating. Temperament, trainability, conformation/appearance and health are the main considerations when researching pedigrees and planning upcoming breedings.
