Pramada Kennels began over 40 years ago in Minneapolis, Minnesota by Pamela & David Peat. Their daughter, Maggie, was involved in the dogs essentially from her birth and has maintained her involvement through present. At this time Maggie focuses on her original love, Standard Longhair Dachshunds, based in Northern California. While Pam and Dave focus on their new love, Affenpinschers, in Arizona. Pramada Dachshunds has produced over 100 champions, multiple Best in Show, Best in Specialty Show, Group winners, National Specialty winners, and the first Longhair Dachshund to win the group at the prestigious Westminster KC -Multi-BIS winner Ch. Pramada's Curmudgeon L, "BEN". Pramada Dachshunds took a break in the late 90’s while Maggie pursued her career and relocated to Northern California. In the mid-2000s, with the generous assistance of Cynthia Geiser (Insight) and Kaye & Pat Middler (Tudox), Maggie resumed the Pramada breeding program. In 2010, Tom Sikora bought a standard longhair dachshund from Pramada. Cali became a top producer with 9 champions and ROMO status. Over the next few years, Tom dedicated himself to learning about Standard Longhairs and honing his breeding skills. In 2014, Pramada Koradox joined their breeding programs and in 2018 Tom and Maggie got married. Pramada Koradox is a platinum breeder of merit with the American Kennel Club.
