Meet The Breeder

About Me My journey with Anatolian Shepherd Dogs began quite unexpectedly in 1994 with a rescued Anatolian mix. At the time, I had never heard of the breed, but strangers kept asking if my dog was an Anatolian. Their repeated questions sparked my curiosity, leading me to research these magnificent dogs and seek out local breeders. This research brought me to Quinn (Skip) and Marilyn Harned of Sakarya Anatolians, well-established and respected breeders who became my mentors in the breed. It wasn't long before I welcomed my first purebred Anatolian from their program, marking the true beginning of my dedication to these remarkable guardians. While I had been involved with the breed for over two decades, it was in 2016 when I acquired Rosin that I truly entered the world of conformation showing. Initially, I had others show him, but I soon discovered my own passion for the ring. Rosin became a finished AKC Grand Champion, validating both his exceptional quality and our partnership. Today, I continue building on that foundation with Rosin's niece Dusty, also a finished AKC Grand Champion, and his daughter Musetta, who has earned her AKC Championship. Each generation strengthens my commitment to preserving the integrity, temperament, and working ability that makes the Anatolian Shepherd Dog such an extraordinary breed. What began with one rescue mix has evolved into a lifelong dedication spanning three decades—a testament to the profound impact these dogs have on those fortunate enough to truly know them.
