Meet The Breeder

.......established in 1982. We are now located in the great southwest in Veguita, New Mexico. Breeding, raising, training and showing AKC Rhodesian Ridgebacks is one of our passions. I am a member in good standing of the AKC and the Rhodesian Ridgeback Club of the United States (RRCUS) which is our national breed club. Correct temperament and conformation, beauty, health and longevity are all concerns when we plan a breeding. We are dedicated to producing quality dogs and finding quality homes for the puppies we sell. All of our breeding stock gets health tested for at least hips, elbows, eyes and thyroid. If you think you are interested in owning a Ridgeback, please take the time to browse through our website. For many people, the term "kennel" brings to mind rows and rows of chain link dog runs filled with dogs. In reality, many excellent breeders' kennels consist of a brood bitch or two and maybe a retired, older dog, all living comfortably in the home. This is TerraCotta Kennels. At present we are producing from one to two litters of pups per year. All of our Ridgebacks are house dogs, sharing and protecting our home.

The total price listed includes a breeder deposit if applicable. DOGGIT will introduce the puppy buyer and the breeder to get to know each other. Growing a strong bond with a new puppy starts with a close relationship with the chosen breeder! The deposit is collected by the breeder directly once the breeder approves the puppy buyer. This means a puppy or future puppy from the breeder is reserved! Deposits are refundable if the breeder does not have a puppy for the puppy buyer, or has unreserved a puppy. The DOGG!T Matchmaker Service fees are also collected once a puppy is reserved. Matchmaker Service fees are transferable if the puppy buyer decides to go with another breeder. * We are committed to finding a puppy buyer the perfect breeder and puppy match. Once the puppy buyer and breeder confirm 'Gotcha Day' hand off, the remaining balance will be paid to the breeder directly or through DOGG!T payment services.
