Lauren grew up showing horses and livestock (meat goats, dairy goats, poultry, and rabbits) in 4-H. When Lauren started college, she knew it would be a while before she had the land and money to begin showing horses and breeding livestock. Instead, she opted to start showing dogs, beginning with the ultimate breed, the border collie. Lauren is an active member of the breed parent club, the Border Collie Society of America, where she serves as a member of the health committee. Lauren has a B.S. in Biology and is currently working on a Masters in Public Health with a Veterinary Emphasis. She has spent nearly a decade working in all aspects of veterinary medicine, ranging from kennels to reception to veterinary assisting and, most recently, clinic management.
