Meet The Breeder

Hi! My name is Celeste Friese. Whether you are looking for a show prospect, performance dog, family pet or your first dog, I would love to help you find the perfect companion! I have been breeding Berners since 2015, and was active in conformation and training with Rottweilers and Australian Cattle Dogs since 1987. Careful consideration goes into producing good quality dogs! All of our Berners are tested according to the recommendations by our parent club, BMDCA and are bred according to the AKC standard. Our dogs are paired carefully with dogs that compliment them in type, health testing and temperament. Our dogs are first and foremost our family, so we do not produce a large amount of puppies. I love working with families and get to know them through a puppy application that helps give me an idea of what they are looking for, what they would like to do with their dog and if there are any special needs or requests. Our puppies are born in our home and raised with weekly exposure to a number of new things that will challenge and shape them into well rounded dogs. We do not select puppies on a first come first serve basis. We have evaluations and temperament testing at 7 weeks to determine which puppies would be best suited for a variety of types of homes. We will help you select which puppy would be the best fit for your family dynamic and lifestyle. We offer a written contract that protects the buyer, the breeder, your puppy and the breed. We require that all dogs sold on limited registration be spayed or neutered. While cross-breeding may be a popular thing to do, we choose to have our dogs reserved for the future of the purebred Bernese Mountain dog "as is" and do not allow cross-breeding of any kind. We offer breeder support for the life of your dog and love to mentor and help our families with any issue that may arise! I currently am a member of the Bernese Mountain Dog Club of America (BMDCA). I am also the secretary of the Inland Northwest Bernese Mountain Dog Club (INWBMDC) and belong to their breeder referral programs. I am active in conformation and currently training my dogs in Rally. All of my dogs and litters produced are entered in Berner Garde and kept current.
